Drew McIntyre Opens Raw
Drew McIntyre opens Monday Night Raw. He accuses the world of forgetting about him during his recent absence while he was away dealing with the death of a family member. He says the world forgot about him in an instant. Drew is quickly interrupted by Sami Zayn. Sami comes out and instantly informs Drew that he isn’t the only one who suffers through grief; he isn’t the only one who’s missed birthdays, funerals, weddings and isn’t the only one suffering; in-fact many of the wrestlers in the back and people all over the world are going through the same things daily, and the difference is Drew McIntrye is looking for someone else to blame other than taking the blame himself. The promo had some intense moments leading to the two once again squaring off in the ring later in the evening. Drew McIntyre reminds Sami Zayn that he’s never beaten him.
Alba Fyre vs Natalya vs Mystery Opponent (WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament)
Iyo Sky was chosen by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce to replace the injured Kairi Sane. Sonija Deville attempted to lure Pearce into having her replace the injured star, however, Pearce was not having it considering Pure Fusion Collective were the responsible parties for the injury to Sane to begin with, and that he would be out of his mind to even consider replacing Sane with Deville. The matchup happens and Iyo Sky picks up the victory advancing her in the Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament semi-finals. This bout was one of the highlights of WWE Raw results 12/23/24.
Chad Gable vs Akira Tozawa
Chad Gable demolished Akira Tozawa from the start. Hitting several suplexes on Tozawa prior to making him tap out and get the win via submission with the Ankle Lock which he would not let go of, this prompted Otis to get into the ring and save his friend. It’s been made official Otis and Chad Gable will compete next week on Raw. Many would have preferred this to happen on the Raw on Netflix debut, however, we’re just glad to finally get this.

Dominik Mysterio & Newday Segment
Backstage we see The New Day and Dominik Mysterio. The New Day says they’ve finally found someone that could relate to what they’re going through, to which Dominik replies, “I don’t like Big E, but what you guys did was messed up.” as Mysterio walks away Xaiver Woods yells and states that Dominik looks like a “broke-ass, Tom Sellick.”
Dominik Mysterio vs Damien Priest
Damien Priest tosses Dominik all over the ring. Dominik tries to hide from Priest and play a game of cat and mouse. The fight spills to the outside of the ring where Mysterio attempts a dive, caught by Priest.. leaping flatliner onto the commentary table. Priest then makes his way over towards the crowd and pulls Santa Clause over the barrier only to find out it’s not Chris Cringle, but is JD McDonagh. Poor santa. Priest then inspects under the ring apron where he finds Carlito choking down an apple and takes care of him as Finn Balor arrives and attacks Damien Priest from behind which leads to the disqualification. Priest wins the match. Afterwards The Judgment Day begin an all out assault on Priest until he’s saved by the new World Tag Team Champions The War Raiders.
