Cathy Kelly first joined WWE in 2016. Kelly was a backstage correspondent for WWE NXT television during her entire first stint with the company prior to announcing her departure from the company in February of 2020.
New rumors are surfacing that Kelly now a mainstay on WWE television programing typically in the role of a backstage interviewer has been training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida for quite some time now.
PWInisder Elite has reported that Cathy Kelly training to become a wrestler has been taking place over several months now and that she’s been working on in-ring things and taking promo classes.
The report further goes on to mention that Kelly will likely be seen in a manger-esque role if she does make the transition from backstage interviewer to on-screen talent.
At the time of this report there is no timetable on which she may make the switch, if she does.. nor whom she would likely be paired with on WWE television.
Kelly has recently been involved heavily in WWE programming across Raw, Smackdown and Social Media for the company with more recently hosting the Slammy Awards with Big E during Wrestlemania 41 weekend.
