Miro Has requested his release from AEW, allegedly.
Miro is a former AEW TNT Champion, better known to fans of WWE by the ring name Rusev. In a new report from FightFul Select, it’s been reported that the seldom used Miro has asked to be released from his AEW Contract. At the time of this writing it is unknown whether or not the request will be granted by All Elite Wrestling.
Miro joined All Elite Wrestling in 2020. His original deal was for two-years which he then upped to his current deal which is a four-year deal that he signed back in 2022, with his current contract expiring in 2026. If AEW does not grant Miro his release he will remain under contract with, and be paid by AEW until Spring of 2026.
The last time Miro was seen in an AEW ring he took on Andrade El Idol in December of 2023.
We will have more on whether or not AEW does grant Miro his release as this story unfolds. Please be sure to follow all of our All Elite Wrestling coverage.
