Penta made his WWE Monday Night Raw debut on last night’s episode of Raw from San Jose, CA. The luchadore competed in a match against Chad Cable. The contest was highly praised by those in attendance and also those commenting on social media. A phenomenal match that lasted around 13 minutes or so to open the show.
Rumor has it according to (PW Inisider), that Penta between the combined match time and his promo afterwards went over on time. The rumor coming out of PWinsider is that there were “way over” on time that led to other segments being cut short, which reportedly rubbed some of the talent backstage the wrong way.
The total runtime of last night’s Raw was around 2 hours and 32 minutes, almost a full half hour shorter than the premier episode on Netflix. The talk prior to WWE making it’s debut on Netflix was that Raw would not have any specific format, no “hard outs” was the phrase coined by Triple H, however, after the reports coming from PWInsider, it seems that this may not be entirely true, if it were, would we really care how long Penta took in the ring? Would there be a need to cut time from other segments if there were no “hard outs?”
