Where has Tony Schiavone been? That was the question following the January 8th, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite. Fans took notice that Schiavone wasn’t sat ringside providing commentary for AEW Dynamite.
On the latest episode of “What Happened When“, Schiavone and Conrad Thompson cleared up what happened. It was mentioned that Schiavone’s wife had recently had hip replacement surgery and she got released from the hospital on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025. Schiavone cracked a good hearted joke in response to the situation:
Couldn’t have been it, no. No, as a matter of fact, she got out of the hospital on Wednesday, and so I just let her walk home from the hospital instead of picking her up, and I went to TV and got suspended. But she made it home about six hours later.”
Schiavone did let everyone know that his wife Lois is at home and recovering well from the surgery. Schiavone rejoined the AEW Commentary team on the January 11th episode of AEW Collision.
