On the August 5th, 2024 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, Bronson Reed attacked Seth “Freakin” Rollins, delivering not one, two, or three but Six Tsumani’s onto the former World Heavyweight Champion.
Other than Bronson Reed noting that the “Killer is unleashed”, the attack on Rollin’s lead many to believe a feud between the two was about to begin. It’s been now noted that the reason behind Reed’s attack on Rollins was merely to write Seth off television for a little bit while Rollins tends to an injury.
In a recent news update Dave Meltzer noted that he was informed that the attacks on Seth Rollins and Dakota Kai which both took place on the August 5 episode of Monday Night Raw were so that both stars can tend to injures. Meltzer goes on to note that Rollins injury isn’t severe, and he’s cleared to compete – which is a good thing. But the segment was meant to buy Rollins time to heal from being banged up. Meltzer also went on the note that he is unsure if Rollins will be back in time for a clash with Bronson Reed at WWE’s next PLE on August 31st.
Meltzer also went on to note that the attack on Dakota Kai prior to her scheduled match against Sonya Deville was to give Kai time off to tend to some injures as well.
Remember on Monday we were talking about Seth and Dakota? It was done for injury reasons… I don’t know how serious.
“I asked if they were storyline covers for injuries and I was told they both were, but Seth is not a bad situation. Seth is cleared, he could wrestle but he’s banged up. So it was a good time for him to take time off.
“I don’t know if he’ll be back for the pay-per-view against Bronson Reed“
We’ll have more on Rollins’ and Dakota Kai’s injuries as information becomes available.
